Apache Simulation is a dynamic thermal simulation program based on first-principles mathematical modelling of the heat transfer processes occurring within and around a building. ApacheSim qualifies as a Dynamic Model in the CIBSE system of model classification, and exceeds the requirements of such a model in many areas.
The program provides an environment for the detailed evaluation of building and system designs, allowing them to be optimised with regard to comfort criteria and energy use.
