If the need arises to relocate software licences to a different computer or directory, the following procedure must be adhered to before contacting IES for replacement licences. Re-issuing licences is at the discretion of IES Limited and a nominal administration charge may be applied.
There is no need to uninstall all of the software from your PC if you simply wish to relocate all the licences.
Relocating All Software and Licences to an Alternative Computer
To move your licence, please do the following:
Run IES application cleanup utility i.e. IESClean.exe, this can be found in C:\program files\IES\VE x\apps\iesclean.exe (Most recommended)
Ensure that ‘Permanently remove IES license keys in’ checkbox is checked (Shown in following image).
Note: if option to remove keys is not presented then you can download an updated IESClean.exe
here (save to local machine and then run)
This will then generate an uninstall PIN – please send this to keys@iesve.com
You can find this file in Start > (my) Documents > IES > LogFiles. The file is called IESReport.txt
To install the <VE> Software on your new machine, please download the latest VE installer from the download centre on our website, you may need to register to use the <VE>, but this should only take a few minutes.
Go to Help > Request licence Keys if you haven’t already done so, fill in all fields and click “Don’t Have E-mail”
You can find this file in Start > (my)Documents > IES > LogFiles. The file is called KeysRequest.txt
E-mail this file to keys@iesve.com and we can then move your licence
Once you receive your licence, please activate either by:
• Clicking Help > Activate Software within the VE
Or
• Saving the keys.txt file from the download link in the activation email and saving to the licence directory. If you are unsure of the licence directory, you can check this in the VE by going to Help > Troubleshooting > Keys Info.
