External Glazing

The final options for configuring the building allow for the optional addition of glazing on the external wall surfaces of the main space on each storey in the building. This is defined as a percentage of the surface area on each wall, based on the surface’s orientation to north, south, east and west.
The Add % glazing to ext. walls by checkbox controls whether or not glazing should be applied. When ticked, it will enable the dropdown menu controlling what determines the orientations used (Site Rotation as specified in Building Footprint & Orientation, or Screen North meaning the top of the screen in Plan view will be treated as North), and the text boxes for the percentage glazing at each of the four orientations. To prevent glazing being added to external wall surfaces facing a particular orientation, enter zero in the appropriate text box.
