By default, the values in the Schematic Geometry Wizard group will be displayed in the input units set for the VE – either Metric (in metres), or Imperial (in feet and inches) displayed in either Decimal, Engineering or Architectural style. However, you can change the input units displayed for the Schematic Geometry Wizard by selecting the appropriate unit type from the Input Units dropdown menu at the top right:
When a different unit is selected, all unit-aware values will be automatically updated to display in the current unit. Note that changing this unit type here will not change the main VE input units until the new project has been created.
The default values for all unit-aware inputs (e.g. the dimensions of the building footprint shape) are slightly different in metric and imperial, to ensure that clean rounded values are used. When switching between units using the dropdown menu, no additional rounding is done so the values may appear as floating-point. However, if you wish to reset all unit-aware values to their defaults for the appropriate unit, hold down the Shift key whilst selecting the unit type from the dropdown menu.
