4.10.1.2 Edit existing HVAC file for Design Model

Users can edit the “Design Model” in this section.
This navigator step will reopen the “HVAC System Design Wizard.” In the first step of the wizard, “General Setup & Zoning,” the HVAC file is set to “Existing,” and the user can select a pre-existing HVAC from the dropdown menu. The figure below shows this step:

For Step 2, “Design – Airside System Selection” and Step 3 “Design – Waterside and Plant Equipment Section” of the wizard, please refer to the previous section (4.10.1.1).
After making edits, user can directly run the room load calculation, system load calculation, or/and Energy simulation through the fourth step of the wizard, “HVAC Loads, Sizing & Reports” (similar to Step 4 in the previous section).
However if the user chooses the make further edit to the HVAC system, the user will have to uncheck the “HVAC Zone/Room loads and sizing,” “HVAC System loads and sizing” and “Simulation” boxes in the “Analysis & Reporting (Design)” section of Step 4 and click “OK” (bottom right side of the Navigator). This will redirect the user to the ApacheHVAC tool. The figure below highlights the “Analysis & Reporting” section of the wizard.
