Accelerad will make use of a CUDA-enabled GPU with compute capability 5.0 to 7.5 to run customised versions of the 3 Radiance executables - rpict, rtrace and rcontrib. Depending on the capability of the GPU this will speed up the ray-tracing simulations.
Accelerad may work with older hardware, but may not run faster than normal Radiance, for best results a modern CUDA enabled GPU designed for ray-tracing is required.

Specifically, Accelerad is targeted toward newer graphics hardware with RTX capability. Advertised performance and configurations are based on Nvidia products (e.g. Nvidia flagship product Quadro RTX 8000). It is also specified to ensure Drivers are running most up to date versions.
