Accelerad is a free suite of programs for fast and accurate lighting and daylighting analysis and visualization. It was developed by Nathaniel Jones at the MIT Sustainable Design Lab and modelled after the popular Radiance software suite developed by Greg Ward at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Accelerad is integrated to RadianceIES in VE 2019 onwards and is enabled via a Feature Enabler which can be provided by IES Technical Support Team for any existing RadianceIES license holders.
Further details of Accelerad can be found here, it is recommended to fully consider these resources while configuring Accelerad calculations.
There are strict hardware requirements for this to work successfully which are more stringent than the rest of the VE, further Accelerad has its own Radiance custom calculation parameters which will have to be adjusted and set for any hardware instance and potentially modified depending on the calculation type being undertaken.
