Accelerad will run customised versions of the 3 Radiance executables - rpict, rtrace and rcontrib. Depending on the capability of the GPU this will speed up the ray-tracing simulations
Accelerad is currently restricted to a subset of all the possible Radiance options, in practice there are only two options in RadianceIES that Accelerad cannot handle, "BSDF" modifiers and "colorpict" (used for applying images/pattern modifiers) are not supported in Accelerad.
