Wind Turbines provide electricity by harvesting kinetic energy from air motion. Wind Turbine objects can represent a single wind turbine or a wind farm by increasing the rated power. If the wind turbine object is representing a wind farm, then it is assumed that all wind turbines are identical and consequently have the same orientation and performance parameters. The energy that can be harvested by a Wind Turbine depends on the weather.

The ID number of each Wind Turbine is unique and used for simulation. The name is not used by the simulation engine, but should be used to give the object meaningful identification within the project.
Users can define a custom Wind Turbine, or may select from a list of pre-defined options. If defining a custom Wind Turbine, the input values described below will need to be defined. Pre-defined options are as follows:
