4.23.1 Attributes

Available processing profile
Available processing profile allows selection of a profile from the database to define the availability of the Wind Turbine due to manual operation.  If a schedule is not required, the profile should be defined as “on continuously”.
 
Energy feedback
The Energy feedback option allows the user to determine whether the electricity generated by the Wind Turbine can be fed back to the power grid.  If the box is checked (the condition is true), the Wind Turbine installation always generates the maximum amount of electrical energy it can and will feed back power to the grid if output exceeds demand.  If the box is unchecked (the condition is false), the Wind Turbine will only supply power in order to meet demand.
 
Hub height
The Hub height is the height above ground of the hub of the wind turbine.  If using the Wind Turbine installation to represent a wind farm, this value should be the average hub height of the wind turbines.
 
Power curve
A Power curve defines the performance curve of the Wind Turbine installation as a function of wind velocity.  Power value (along the y-axis) should be entered as a proportion of the Rated power (on a scale from 0 to 1).  All curves must pass through the origin, that is, have zero power output at zero wind velocity. A Curve Editor is accessed by double clicking on the Power curve input value, then selecting the edit button that appears in the field.
 
Rated power
Rated power is the maximum power that the wind turbine can produce.
 
Terrain type
Terrain type defines the type of terrain surround the Wind Turbine installation as country, suburban, or city.  The terrain type affects the conversion of wind speed from the weather data (typically measured at a hub height of 10m) to the wind speed at the specified hub height.
