Each primary tool has a specific function and is the place in the software where that function is carried out:
· Object browser navigate objects; picking objects (in conjunction with and across views)
· Asset library project assets; assign via workspaces and data inspector
· Data inspector explore object properties; assign, edit, copy and paste values
· Simulation hub define and trigger simulations
· Analysis inspector select results and trigger analysis, charting, etc.
The object selection set picked in the object browser is persistent; the object selection set is utilized in the other primary tools to define what properties are displayed and as the source of objects for selected functions such as simulation or analysis.
For example, after editing a building one can simply switch to the simulation hub, trigger a simulation, and then switch to the analysis inspector to see the results for the same selection set.
