The ranking strategy assigns provision to generators by considering a priority order set by an integer rank (1 for first, 2 for second, and so forth). The allocation is then performed by ordering the attached providers in ranking order and allocating to the providers in that order (Figure 3-39). If any providers have equal rank, a Balanced strategy is employed using an absolute balancing mechanism or a percentage (of maximum generation) balancing mechanism.
