The shading scenarios parameter allows users to test different geometrical shading configurations for their model. As these are geometrical variations their creation and grouping have to be handled elsewhere and this is done through a new grouping scheme called ‘Parametric Shading’.
Two default shading schemes are available - ‘Not in the shading scheme’ and ‘Shading scenario 1’, but other shading schemes can be added as necessary.
In this example two shading scenarios have been created, one for vertical shading and one for horizontal shading:
For the active model a user can right click on any of the shading scenarios to make them active so that they can be viewed in the active model.
The shading scenarios then become available for selection in the parametric tool:
