This guide explains how to create and assign DHW loads and DHW systems to the Design, Proposed, and Standard Models of the Title 24 navigator.
The Design Model is going to be based on the actual design of the building and users have the liberty to make the system as realistic as possible. From the DHW perspective, the user has the capability to assign or edit the DHW load and the DHW system. For the Design model, this guide refers to different sections of the “Modeling Domestic Hot Water” FAQ.
The Proposed Model is the actual building with limitations set by the 2022 Title 24 ACM. From the DHW perspective, the user has the capability to select the DHW system but not edit the DHW load for the proposed model. Details about these limitations are explained in the respective sections.
The Standard Model is automatically generated by IESVE based on the Title 24 ruleset in the 2022 Title 24 ACM. From the DHW perspective, the DHW load and the DHW system are completely locked out, and the user cannot edit these sections for the standard model.
