The Vertical Sky Component (VSC) is a measure of the amount of sky visible from a centre point of a window. Similarly Component (SC) is a measure of the amount of sky visible from a centre point of a rooflight. This is useful for daylight planning studies, in particular BR209:2022 ‘light from the sky’.
