Remove unwanted triangulated surfaces

Including elements such as columns and partitions protruding into rooms (Please refer to section ‘Consider model element properties’ for more information) within your BIM model, with them set to ‘room bounding’ on, can cause triangulation of surfaces within the room/space volumes. The triangulation is caused by having to break up the ceiling and floor to form simple surfaces around each column. This is highlighted in the left hand image below. As discussed in the ‘Consider model element properties’ section in Step 1, there is no need to delete the columns/walls from the original BIM model. It is, however, recommended to untick the ‘room bounding’ option unticked.
