PRM Considerations for Baseline Shading 90.1 2010

The effect that structures and significant vegetation or topographical features have on the amount of solar
radiation being received by a structure shall be adequately reflected in the computer analysis. All elements
whose effective height is greater than their difference from a proposed building and whose width facing the
proposed building is greater than one third that of the proposed building shall be accounted for in the
analysis. If the computer program has a sub-routine to simulate shading by adjacent structures, then this
option shall be used.
