The BB101:2018 analysis tests each timestep for occupancy and then determines an operational mode as follows:
- First check the BB101 user entered system type selection:
1. Natural ventilation system.
2. Mechanical ventilation or AC system.
3. Hybrid ventilation system.
Then test by system type per timestep as follows:
- For system type 1 selected: (free running tested only)
Test free running / natural for all occupied hours.
- For system type 2 selected: (mech tested only)
Test mechanical / cooled for all occupied hours.
- For system type 3 selected: (free running & mech tested)
Tests hours in free-running and mechanical / cooled modes separately.
If the project includes more than one system type the user will need to use room groups and run the report for each system type separately.
