The VE can export HVAC systems defined in Apache Systems (aux vent and/or Apsys air supply) or Apache HVAC (supply, return, ahu recirculation). Indalo® AHUs are defined by each Apache System or each network in a ApHVAC ASP file.
For Apache Systems room return air is assumed as equal as it is an air exchange. Thus, for Apache Systems recirculation is assumed as zero i.e. its full fresh air or DOAS. Supply & return airflow is derived from the sum of the aps results 'Aux mech vent' and 'ApSys air supply'.
For ApHVAC supply, return & recirculation airflow is derived from the network aps results. Prototype systems provided in the ApHVAC System library i.e. baseline, reference, NCM equivalent and prototype systems are supported. Optional exhaust and transfer flows are not supported. Custom systems are not supported.
As the rooms selected for Indalo® simulation may not be all rooms on a system the export produces a 'system’ or 'ahu' flow dataset comprising of the sum of all flows from selected rooms on that system only.
As a user will want to know how their model as designed in the VE performs in Indalo® the Indalo® AHU supplies & returns are fixed as self-adjustable i.e. airflow is scheduled from the APS results and Indalo® pollutant controls are not used.
