Typically, infiltration data is entered by VE users as an infiltration air exchange: this is typically a MEAN value with a CONTINOUSLY ON profile. This is typically based on an annual mean ACH value which for UK users is typically sourced from CIBSE A 2006 tables A4.13 to 4.21 and is targeted at heating/cooling plant sizing, but is perhaps not ideal for pollutant modelling.
A variable infiltration approach by using an infiltration air exchange with a MAX value with a freeform modulating profile (0-1) that varies off wind pressure, but whose annual mean is equal to the MEAN value sourced from CIBSE A 2006 tables A4.13 to 4.21 is also possible. See the separate Python script article on DiscoverIES that describes this method and produces the freeform profile.
Infiltration defined by cracks in Macroflo will be ignored as it is not possible to determine the contribution from Macroflo cracks such that a building air permeability figure can be derived for export.
Thus the VE export to Indalo® utilises APS infiltration results only.
Indalo uses constants for distribution of infiltration. This is fixed in the export as:
