2. Inner volume representation and reveals
VE model geometry is modified by settings that are applied by the user, namely inner volume representation.
Such settings are typically used to produce a more realistic representation of the building and are a requirement of some standards.
RadianceIES utilises such modified geometry settings and modified geometry will produce significant differences in RadianceIES results.
2.1. Inner volume representation
Inner volume representation creates an ‘inner shell’ of geometry representing construction depth as defined in ApCDB construction definitions.
Inner volume representation is set per room(s) in the Model-IT > selection menu.
