Several options are available to determine the control mechanism by which the outdoor unit switches from heating (heat acquisition) to cooling (heat rejection) mode. Each of these options is explained below.
The Profile control option is unique in that it allows for customized or manual control of the outdoor unit modes and offers the possibility of preventing heat recovery operation when both heating and cooling loads are present at the connected indoor units (i.e., the Profile option must be used to prevent simultaneous heating and cooling by indoor units on a particular VRF system that is not capable of heat recovery).
