Selection of Source type determines whether the system should reject/acquire heat to/from an air source or water source. If Water-source is selected, at least one Heat Transfer Loop must be defined to serve as the water-source loop for a water-source VRF system. Changing the Source type for a VRF system automatically updates the Source type for all heating and cooling coils connected to that system. Changing the source type also changes the VRF performance curve set for the system (see Design parameters, below).
