Reference condition – indoor unit

Figure 3-140: VRF System > Design parameters dialog with Reference condition – indoor unit tab selected for a water-source VRF system.
Entering coil wet-bulb temperature (Tewbref) is the cooling-mode reference condition for air entering the indoor unit coils in a VRF system. This is used, along with the performance curves, for deriving the cooling performance at design and off-design conditions.
Entering coil dry-bulb temperature (Tedbref) is the heating-mode reference condition for air entering the indoor unit coils in a VRF system. This is used, along with the performance curves, for deriving the heating performance at design and off-design conditions.
Entering water temperature (Tewtref) defines the reference condition for water entering the outdoor unit in a VRF system as a reference condition (on this tab) for the indoor units. By default, this is a copy of the entering source loop water temperature for the outdoor unit at the reference condition. To independently edit the reference source water temperature as a reference condition specifically for the indoor units, uncheck the “Use same entering source loop water temperature as for outdoor unit” box.
