Lamp Data & Lamp-lumen Maintenance Factors

Lamp Data

Lamp Reference
The lamp reference may be up to 6 characters in length and should be a unique reference. If this reference is a repeat of one already existing in the system database, then the user-defined one will be picked up in preference to the system one.

Lamp-Type Category
The lamp-type category is a form of classification, so that particular types of lamp can be reviewed more easily; the following categories exist:

IN
Incandescent
TH
Tungsten Halogen
LF
Linear Fluorescent
CF
Compact Fluorescent
ME
Mercury
MH
Metal Halide
SX
Low-Pressure Sodium
SN
High-Pressure Sodium
NC
Non-classified

Lamp Manufacturer
The lamp-manufacturer reference can be up to two characters in length. The following manufacturer codes exist:

GE
General Electric
OS
Osram
PH
Philips
SY
Sylvania
TH
Thorn
WO
Wotan

However you may enter ANY two-character reference for other manufacturers.

Lamp Title
The lamp title may be up to 30 characters in length and should adequately describe the lamp; it is recommended that this includes the manufacturer's name and reference.

Data OK ?
This is used as a flag to indicate whether the lamp is still being manufactured. You should enter 'Y' if it is, or 'N' if it is not. The default is 'Y'.

Valid Lamp Colours
Up to 10 valid colours may be specified for each lamp. For a linear fluorescent lamp, for instance you may wish to define the various colours, such as warm-white, white and cool-white. The available colours for a particular lamp may be found using the review facility.

Lamp Colour
The lamp colour reference may be up to 4 characters in length. Up to 10 colours can exist for each lamp, and each reference should be unique for that lamp.

Initial Bare-Lamp Lumen Output
The initial bare-lamp output is the luminous flux measured after 100 hours and is used in the calculations to determine the total luminous flux within the room.

Lamp-Lumen Maintenance-Factor Curve Reference
The lamp-lumen maintenance-factor (LLMF) reference is a code used to identify an LLMF curve. System curves have a code in the range 1 to 99 and the user curves have a code in the range 100 to 9999. The following curves are used as the default for the various lamp categories:

Lamp-lumen Maintenance Factors

This data-sheet is used to enter data to produce lamp-lumen maintenance- factor curves.

LLMF-Curve Reference
Warning Limits:           1 to 9999
Error Limits:                 1 to 9999

The lamp-lumen maintenance-factor (LLMF) curve reference is a code used to identify a LLMF curve. System curves have a code in the range of 1 - 99 and user curves have a code in the range 100 - 9999.

LLMF-Curve Title
The LLMF-curve title may be up to 30 characters long and should describe the curve. It is recommended that it should include the type of lamp and the manufacturer.

Data OK ?
This is used as a flag to indicate whether the lamp is still being manufactured. You should enter 'Y' if it is, or 'N' if it is not. The default is 'Y'.

Lamp-Lumen Maintenance Factor
The percentage lamp-lumen maintenance factors for time intervals of 1000 hours should be entered. Line one is used for the intervals from 1000 - 10000 hours, line two for the intervals from 11000 - 20000 hours and line 3 for the intervals from 21000 to 30000 hours.

Lamp-Survival Factor
The percentage lamp-survival factors for time intervals of 1000 hours should be entered. Line one is used for the intervals from 1000 - 10000 hours, line two for the intervals from 11000 - 20000 hours and line 3 for the intervals from 21000 to 30000 hours.
