Monodraught’s HVR range of units are able to produce up to 180 l/s of daytime ventilation each; a typical classroom utilises two units.
A powder coated aluminium body makes the system robust and easy to install. This body incorporates specialist acoustic panels which when combined with a low energy fan means that the systems maximum daytime operation sound level is under 35dB.
A motorised supply louvre directs the supply air in to the space to maximise occupant comfort; in the winter the air-flow is directed towards to the ceiling to maximise mixing / minimise cold draughts, in the summer the air-flow is directed towards to occupants to maximise cooling effect.
The low leakage external damper is integrated within the system and has a high U-Value of 1.2Wm2K and when combined with the internal mixing damper and heat exchanger allows the system to supply tempered fresh air throughout the year.
The hybrid design with heat recovery allows a lower balance point in a typical classroom; comfort conditions can be maintained at lower external temperatures, minimising the heating required.
A combination of an intelligent controls system and sensors measuring the room, external and mixed air temperatures & CO2 levels allows the system to automatically control the internal environment. This control system can also be utilised for the operation of additional VENTSAIR facade systems and has a full data logging facility.
