The user has an option to confirm that the exterior lighting meets part 4 prescriptive requirements and exclude it from the energy simulation.
Input the lighting zone, surface areas for the reference model and W values for the proposed model. The reference exterior lighting load will be calculated based on the guidance provided in NECB section 4.2.3 & assigned as a miscellaneous energy consumption.
The dialog also carries out a part 4 prescriptive requirements check for information only.

Exterior lighting is controlled using a default formula profile that simulates astronomical time controls and photo sensors. See NECB section 4.2.4 for further details on exterior lighting controls.
