Datasets

 

Cost can be defined at several levels: per construction, per system, per material (only for materials of floor finish and suspended ceilings types), and per project. Datasets have been provided by BRE Global, WD Re-Thinking Services Ltd and Whole Life Ltd for each of the above cost levels to ensure that the cost data used within the <VE> reflects the cost of materials, constructions and systems used in industry. There exists a small subset of constructions and floor finishes materials within the dataset which do not have cost data assigned. This is primarily due to these products being certified by specific manufacturers, which we do not have permission to assign cost to. If the user wishes to include these products, they can manually input cost data.

 

Seven priced construction datasets are provided, each representing a particular building type. The user can access them through the CDB interface via the “View menu” – Library (constructions and materials) – IMPACT. They all start with “IMPACT_Spec_Dataset_”

The list of building types provided are: Commercial, Domestic, Education, Health, Industrial, Retail (frequent fit-out), Retail (infrequent fit-out)

 

 

Note; that ground floor constructions are only available under the domestic dataset “IMPACT_Spec_Dataset_V13_Demestic constructions…”.  If the user wishes to choose a domestic spec for a non-domestic building, then they can do so.
