This command allows the user to define a group of people spread in a regular grid over a defined area of the building. You click onto different points to create a polygonal area which defines the boundary within which people will be placed. Use the following method:
1. Use the left mouse button to insert a new polygonal point.
2. Press SHIFT+left mouse button to adjust an existing point.
3. Press CTRL+left mouse button to add another point in between existing points.
4. Press the right mouse button with the mouse pointer inside the polygon to complete the definition of the area.
When an area has been defined a dialogue box will appear which will allow you to add a specific number of people, delete people within the polygon, and add a group with a specific density. Note that the number of people added may not be exactly the number specified. This is because Simulex attempts to distribute the people in a regular grid pattern, and may need to adjust the number by a small amount to make the grid fit in the area. The program tells you exactly how many people have been added. Note also that the area of the defined polygon is displayed at the top of the top of the Area Properties dialogue box.
