4.6.2 Assign Process Loads

This option opens the Tabular Space Data to assign a process loads to a space as shown below.
Assign Process loads
The user is required to assign the process loads as defined in the previous section to each individual space as applicable. Each process load type has a dropdown which lists the process loads created of a particular type. A space can have only one process load of a particular type. Multiple process loads of the same type will require to be combined in the “Create Process Loads” tab.
Process load types include:
·        Process Electric: This load is the electric power consumption in the conditioned space of a building resulting from an activity or treatment not related to the space conditioning, lighting, service water heating, or ventilating of a building as it relates to human occupancy.
·        Process Gas: This load is the gas power consumption in the conditioned space of building resulting from an activity or treatment not related to the space conditioning, lighting, service water heating, or ventilating of a building as it relates to human occupancy.
·        Refrigeration: This load is the power consumption of commercial refrigeration equipment in a space. Commercial refrigeration equipment power is used for walk in freezers, walk in coolers, and refrigerated casework. Other equipment such as Plug in coolers, vending machines and plug in refrigerators should be accounted for in receptacle loads
·        Gas Equipment: The use of gas devices represented by a gas equipment and associated with the occupancy type selected from the Area Category Method or Complete Building Method in ACM Appendix 5.4A
·        Elevators: This load is the power consumption of elevators in a building
·        Escalators: This load is the power consumption of escalators in a building
