2.2.4.2. Useful Daylight Illuminance (UDI)

This option performs climate based daylight modelling (CBDM) simulations to analyse UDI (Useful Daylight Illuminance). UDI is a set of up to four percentage bands for every point on the space working plane defined as follows:
The percentage of time where the points’ illuminance is:
1-    Below a minimum lux threshold where full electric lighting is needed.
2-    Between a range of lux values where supplementary electric lighting is required.
3-    Between a useful minimum and maximum value where no electric lighting is needed.
4-     Above a maximum value, which could result in glare.
For more information on how to run UDI simulations, please refer to Section 13.1.: Useful Daylight Illuminance.
